POLYESTER RESIN FOR TONER BINDER, ITS PRODUCTION AND TONER USING THE POLYESTER RESIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide polyester resin used for a toner binder excellent in anti- offsetting property and low-temp. fixability, excellent also in durability and giving clear image characteristics. SOLUTION: Etherified bisphenol is copolymerized with dicarboxylic acid and polyhydric alcohol having three or more hydroxyl groups and/or polycarboxylic acid having three or more carboxyl groups to obtain a low mol.wt. polyester crosslinked body having <=10mgKOH/g hydroxyl value and a number average mol.wt. of <=2,000. The ratio of the number average mol.wt. to the wt. average mol.wt. is >=2.5. At least a part of the polyester crosslinked body is combined through dihydric alcohol blended as a combining agent.
