PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heighten luminous brightness at a low temperature time without narrowing an luminous area, surely fix a structure body (a mesh) fitted to a discharge lamp for shutting off noise generated by a discharge lamp itself and external noise, and enhance starting characteristics at a low temperature time. SOLUTION: A mesh 3 closely fitted on the periphery of a discharge tube 2 can be grounded via a ground connection portion 18, the discharge tube 2 is warmed by the mesh 3 energized and heated. Thereby, without narrowing a luminous area the luminous brightness of the discharge lamp 1 is heightened at a low temperature time, and noise shut-off action is brought about to the mesh 3 grounded via the ground connection portion 18. Holders 19 are fitted to both ends of the discharge tube 2 as overlapping on both end of the mesh 3 so as to surely fix the mesh 3 to the discharge tube 2, and the starting characteristics of the discharge lamp 1 can be enhanced at the low temperature time. |
