PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformly adjust the illuminance of a fluorescent lamp by providing fluorescent lamps having different rated light fluxes in parallel, and connecting an electronic ballast to the fluorescent lamp having the lower rated light flux. SOLUTION: Fluorescent lamps 28, 56 of a lighting system L are connected to a 100V-power source via a switch 58. A ballast 59 made of a choke coil and a glow starter 61 are connected as a lighting means to the fluorescent lamp 28 having a higher wattage. An electronic ballast 62 made of a thyristor and a resonant capacitor 63 are connected to the fluorescent lamp 56 having a lower wattage. The electronic ballast 62 controls the excitation angle of the thyristor, adjusts the average current applied to the fluorescent lamp 56, and adjusts the light flux to 130% of the rated light flux. The fluorescent lamp 56 having a lower wattage is made brighter, and its illuminance is made equal to that of the fluorescent lamp 28. |
