摘要 FIELD: electrolytic processes. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrolytically manufactured nickel balls useful as anode in nickel plating of metal objects. Nickel of regular spherical shape is manufactured through deposition from electrolyte onto cathode basis carriers when varying cathode current density during deposition period (t) from 1.8 A/sc.dm in the following way: 0-1/3t - increased by 0.05 A/sc.dm per 1 h; 1/3t - 1/2t - maintained constant; 1/2t - 2/3t - increased by 0.08 A/sc.dm per 1 h; 2/3t - 5/6t - maintained constant; 5/6t - t - decreased by 0.33 A/sc.dm per 1 h. Cathode basis utilized is covered with dielectric on which conducting carriers are fastened shaped as concave spherical segments with length of arc passing through lower point being equal to (1.66-2.10)R where R is radius of produced sphere. Invention allows manufacturing spheres with variable diameter using the same cathode basis since the carriers fastened on the basis are replaceable. This feature also increases life time of cathode basis. When manufacturing spheres greater than 3 cm in diameter, in order to surely maintain them on cathode basis during deposition process, 1.0-1.2-mm spiral deepenings with depth to width ratio 0.3-0.5 are made across inner surface of carriers from lower point along generatrix. In other embodiment of invention, cathode basis may be made as metal gauze with carriers secured in its nodes. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of process. 3 dwg, 1 tbl
