FIELD: agricultural production. SUBSTANCE: feed storage of tower type has ramming unit for compacting succulent feed at kinetic moment of L = mVh, where m is ballast weight, kg; V is speed of ramming unit, m/s; h is load applying leg, m. Kinetic moment is increased by potential energy of spring unit, with effective line of tension force of spring unit extending through center of gravity of ballast or below it. Ramming unit is connected to drive with three degrees of freedom. Drive has sliding nut, stem and drive screw with left and right-hand rectangular threads. Sliding nut interacts with rectangular threads through cursor, which may be turned in its seat and come into contact with thread surface. Path of motion of ramming unit is extending along Archimedes' spiral. Disadvantage of the path is that upon reaching 60 deg, it goes away from storage wall to define, at an angle of 30 deg, zone inaccessible for compaction. To eliminate disadvantage, operation of ramming unit is effectuated in cycles initially from wall to center of storage and finally ramming unit is returned to storage wall. Inaccessible zone is rammed through by offset between initial and final stages of operating cycle, which is set in the construction of ramming unit drive. EFFECT: increased efficiency by complete ramming of feed through the whole mass of feed pile, including feed meniscus at storage wall, reduced power consumption and enhanced reliability in operation. |
