PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide improved lubricity on the guide surface and/or rolling surface of a roller bearing holder so as to obtain stabilized rotation of a bearing against deteriorated lubricating conditions by providing an annular recessed part on the side edge on the outer diametral surface of a holder and forming multi-streak screw-like lubricant guide grooves on the inner diametral surface of the holder. SOLUTION: A retainer 4 is provided with annular scoops, namely, recessed parts 5 on both side edges of an outer diametral surface and multi-streak screw- like lubricant guide grooves are formed on the inner diametral surface of the retainer 4. And as shown by arrow marks (a), lubricant supplied from the side surface of a bearing nearly to the outer diametral surface of an inner face 1 is swirled in the central side by means of lubricant guide grooves 6, following the rotation of the retainer 4 so as to be fed on the retainer guide surface 1c of the inner race 1. Therefore, lubricity of the retainer guide surface 1c becomes better. In addition, owing to the recessed parts 5 provided on the outer diametral surface of the retainer 4, lubricant supplied from the side surface of the bearing is supplied also to the turning feeding surface of an outer race 2 so that the lubricity of the turning feeding surface may be also enhanced. |
