PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable frozen pieces of SUSHI to be thawed in a shortened time, as the quality of seafood used for SUSHI is kept fresh, when frozen Sushi are thawed. SOLUTION: A piece of frozen SUSHI 3 prepared by placing a piece of seafood 3b on a cooked rice ball 3a and freezing them is arranged in the area to which high-frequency waves 12a are irradiated from the wave source 12 so that the cooked rice 3a side may face to the wave source 12 whereby the high frequency waves 12a prominently acts on the cooked rice and the part of the seafood piece protruding from the rice ball is covered with a reflection member 21 on the wave source side 12 to mitigate the effect of the high frequency wave on the seafood 3b and attain well-balanced thawing of both the rice ball 3a and the seafood 3b. |
