PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make luminance high without raising cost, to improve yield and to stabilize quality in a surface-mount optical semiconductor device with a protruding dome-like lens. SOLUTION: A light emitting element 13 is fixed to the mounting part on the surface of a printed board 11 through silver paste 12, for example. The light-emitting element 13 and wiring 14 on the printed board 11 are electrically connected by a metallic line 16. Then, the periphery of the light-emitting element 13 on the printed board 11 is sealed with the dome-like lens part 17a and a flange 17b, which are made by using liquid epoxy resin 17, by containing the metallic line 16. |
