摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetostrictive torque sensor whose work is easy and manufacturing cost can be reduced. SOLUTION: In a detecting part 12 of a shaft 11, its side surfaces 13 are formed as a plane. Grooves 14 and 15 having a prescribed width are formed in the circumferential direction of the shaft 11 in the detecting part 12. Magnetostrictive materials 16 and 17 are respectively installed on the respective side surfaces 13 of the detecting part 12. The magnetostrictive materials 16 and 17 are formed in a paper strip shape of a plate, and both end parts are respectively formed as fixing parts 16a and 17a, and its fixing parts 16a and 17a are installed on the respective side surfaces 13 so as to respectively stride over the grooves 14 and 15 by screws 18. The magnetostrictive materials 16 and 17 are installed so as to respectively incline by 45 degrees and (-) 45 degrees to the central axis of the shaft 11.
