摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To collect and reuse the electric discharge power of a display cell even during a data write period in addition to a hold discharge period, and reduce power consumption by causing each of electrode unit drivers to perform an operation for collecting and discharging electric power concurrently and in parallel. SOLUTION: A data electrode drive circuit 20 has a plurality of electrode unit drivers 21 laid in parallel. Also, separate common lines W21 and W22 are provided for electric power collection and electric power discharge. The lines W21 and W22 can concurrently flow electric current in both cases, for example, where the first, the second and the fourth electrode unit drivers 21 operate for power collection, and all of the third, the fifth and succeeding electrode unit drivers 21 operate for power discharge. In other words, concurrent operations are performed for the collection of collection current into a capacitor 21 via the common line W21 and a coil L21, as well as the release of discharge current from the capacitor 21 via a coil L22 and the common line W22.
