PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly convert at least a character string including KANJI (Chinese character) into KANJI. SOLUTION: A specified character string is reversely converted into a KANA (Japanese syllabary) character string by referring to a reverse conversion dictionary JD, word by word, first (RC1), and single-paragraph conversion is performed (KKC). When a proper conversion candidate is not obtained by this method, the KANA character string is reversely converted by referring to a reverse conversion dictionary KD generated in KANJI units (RC2), and then single- paragraph conversion is performed thereafter (KKC). Consequently, even if a KANA character string can not be obtained in word units and a desired reconverted character string can not be obtained, a KANA character string is obtained in KANJI units to obtain a desired converted character string. |
