PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high optical coupling efficiency without performing an alignment by engaging positioning parts respectively provided to a stem and a receptacle with each other and thus fixing the stem and receptacle. SOLUTION: On the discoid stem 2 on which a light emitting element 2 is mounted, the receptacle 6 on which the ferrule of a ring-shaped optical connector is mounted by insertion is fixed. Here, the stem 2 is formed out of, for example, Kovar (Trademark for an iron-nickel-cobalt alloy) and has a columnar mount base 2b molded into one body concentrically with the outer peripheral edge part 2a of the stem 2, and a light emitting element 1 is mounted on the mount base 2b. At the outer peripheral edge part 2a of the stem 2, two high- precision positioning holes used for engagement with the receptacle 6 are provided symmetrically about the center of longitudinal coordinates and when the light emitting element 1 is mounted, the element is mounted in the center of longitudinal coordinates on the basis of the external shape and coordinates of the holes. |
