摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly identify the categories by deleting the nodes corresponding to plural categories of an adaptive resonance theory(ART1) network execution means, using only the patterns resonant with the deleted nodes and performing the re-learning by means of a monitoring parameter of larger value. SOLUTION: The neural network 9 deletes the nodes corresponding to plural categories without changing the monitoring parameter which is used for the pattern identification processing. Then the network 9 takes out only the patterns that are resonant with the deleted nodes and performs the re-learning by means of a monitoring parameter of larger value. That is, a re-learning control means 7 sets the value of the monitoring parameterρatρ+Δ(Δ>0). Then, the means 7 deletes the nodes corresponding to plural categories out of the output layer of an ART1 network execution means 2 and takes the patterns resonant with the deleted nodes out of a learning pattern storage means 1. These patterns are given to the means 2 for execution of the re-learning.
