It comprises a piece-support surface (1), a cutting carriage (2) which slides along some guides (3) attached to supports (4) and is provided with a cutting tool, and a separating device (16) operated by a manual lever (6), which scores a line on the piece as the cutting tool comes into contact with the piece and the carriage (2) moves along the guides (3), separating the pieces along the line previously scored when the manual lever (6) of the separating device (9) is moved. It is characterized in that the separating device (16) is mounted on the cutting carriage (2) and is operated by the same lever (6) which operates the cutting tool, the cutting carriage (2) comprising positioning means (7) of the separating device (16). A more compact machine assembly is achieved, and the cutting operation can be carried out using only one hand.
