PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the cost of lower cylinder parts by respectively specifying the materials and material hardness of an annular drum and a central part annular body. SOLUTION: The annular drum 6 has an outer peripheral surface 6a for winding and guiding a magnetic tape and a tape lead 6b for helically limiting the traveling height position of the tape and is formed of the aluminum alloy material set at the high material hardness. The central part annular body 7 has bearings 16s, 16b for freely rotatably supporting the rotary head in the central part of the annular drum 6 and is formed of the aluminum alloy material having the low material hardness and excellent workability and the aluminum die cast alloy material having decreased working parts. The annular drum 6 and the central part annular body 7 are integrated by a press-fitting and fixing part 7a and are subjected the lower cylinder parts to cutting and finishing, by which the time for working the central part annular body 7 is drastically shortened and the cost of the lower cylinder parts is reduced.
