<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect a plurality of objects running abreast regarding an on-vehicle scanning radar device ideal as a device for accurately detecting a plurality of objects existing in front of a vehicle. SOLUTION: A radar for detecting an object using a radar ECU 10 and a radar antenna 20 is constituted. The radar antenna 20 is provided with scanning mechanism 24 for scanning a specified detection area, and a scanning controller 22. The size of an object detected on the lane of an own vehicle is monitored. In the case of the size of this object being suddenly enlarged, data in a scanning angle range where the presence of the object existing on the lane of the own vehicle is recognized before the sudden enlargement of the size is separated from data on an object detected after the recognition of sudden enlargement of the size.</p> |
