<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a stable image over a long term, especially, even under environment such as high temperature and high humidity by using magnetic grains with carrier having a specified grain diameter. SOLUTION: The surface shape of the carrier grain is fixed according to the size of the grain diameter. Namely, in the case the grain diameter is small, a rugged part on the carrier surface becomes large; on the contrary, in the case the grain diameter is large, the rugged part becomes small and the surface shape becomes smooth. The grain diameter is controlled to be 0.2-10μm. When a latent image on a photoreceptor is developed, not only toner but also carrier are brought into contact with the photoreceptor in the case of two-component developer. By controlling the shape of the carrier, the grinding effect of the carrier itself is achieved, so that the photoreceptor is finely ground, consequently, water adhering or absorbed in the photoreceptor is removed. As for a cleaning mechanism for removing the toner remaining on the photoreceptor 2; it is desirable that a cleaning blade 1 is held by a holder 3 and an angleθ1 formed by the photoreceptor 2 with the holder 3 is 10-90 deg..</p> |
