<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the simulation accuracy of a traffic flow simulator by reflecting the traffic regulation, the vehicle routes, etc., on the traffic flow to regenerate the influence given to the entire traffic. SOLUTION: The blocks of independent unit distances are arranged in parallel to each other in every lane, so that the multi-input/multi-output block modules of plural lanes are constructed. These blocks have the attributes that describe the route regulation, the vehicle type regulation, etc. A vehicle model has an attribute to individually describe the vehicle type, the traveling direction, the destination, the automobile conversion coefficient, etc. Then the traffic flow rates are calculated among plural upstream blocks adjacent to its own block by the block density method and based on the vehicle density and a set traffic volume-density curve. The vehicle that requires the change of its lane is moved to a downstream block from the upstream one among those vehicles having the attributes that satisfy the regulation covering the number of vehicles equivalent to the calculated flow rates.</p> |
