<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a toner having a wide fixing temp. range and excellent offset resistance which can be used for various copying speed from slow to fast processes. SOLUTION: This toner contains a polyester resin at least a part of which is modified with a compd. having a long-chain alkyl group of 24 to 252 carbon number and a hydroxyl group or carboxyl group at the molecular end. The change rateγof the storage elastic modulus G' and the loss elastic modulus G'' defined by the following formulae at 150 deg.C with 1-50% strain is <50%.γG' =(1G'50 /G'1 )×100,γG'' =(1G''50 /G''1 )×100, whereinγG' is the change rate of the storage elastic modulus G' at 150 deg.C with 1-50% strain,γG' is the change rate of the storage elastic modulus G'' at 150 deg.C with 1-50% strain, G'50 is the storage elastic modulus at 150 deg.C with 50% strain, G'1 is the storage elastic modulus at 150 deg.C with 1% strain, G''50 is the loss elastic modulus at 150 deg.C with 50% strain, and G''1 is the loss elastic modulus at 150 deg.C with 1 % strain.</p> |
