<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transfer all coordinate data without omission even with an infrared remote controller by compressing plural pieces of coordinate data continuously generated from a pointing device through a prescribed compression method and transmitting these data to the main body side of coordinate input device as transmission data for which the data amount is decreased. SOLUTION: It is decided whether the data are prescribed transmission data or not, namely, where a data format is proper or not (step 11) and when the data are decided as prescribed transmission data, it is decided whether these data are 1st data or not (step 12). When the data are decided to be 1st data, the 1st data of format are defined as transmission data (step 13) and transmitted (step 14). When the transmission data are decided to be 2nd data (step 15), on the other hand, relative coordinate data expressing the relative coordinate corresponding to the pointing device are compressed by the prescribed compression method (steps 16 and 17), defined as transmission data by decreasing the data amount, and transmitted (step 14).</p> |
