PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device capable of preventing toner scattering by improving the interchangeability of developer and reducing stress caused by repeatedly using the developer. SOLUTION: In this developing device 100, the developer is carried to a developing area opposed to an image carrier 1 so as to develop an electrostatic latent image carried on the surface of the image carrier 1 by fixing a magnet roll 111 and rotating a developing roll 112 on the outer periphery of the roll 111. In such a case, in the magnet roll 111, adjacent magnets having the same polarity are disposed at an opposed part to a paddle wheel 113 so as to form repulsive magnetic field, and an auxiliary magnet Ms is provided between the magnets S2 and S3 having the same polarity. As for the magnet roll 111, flux density between the magnets having the same polarity within 20mm at both ends of the roll 112 is <=70G on the same polarity side as the magnet and <=20G on the reverse polarity side thereto. |
