<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide coordinate data at an optimum sampling rate by setting the sampling rate for input coordinate detection for each description area corresponding to an input coordinate. SOLUTION: By pressing the surface of digitizer 101 with a stylus pen 103, the voltage value corresponding to that pressed coordinate value is detected by a coordinate detection part 104. That detected voltage value is transformed to a coordinate value corresponding to an LCD 102 and that coordinate value is inputted to an area detection part 105. At that area detection part 105, the inputted coordinate value is compared with the coordinate values of function area, sign recognition area and ordinary input area set in advance, it is detected which area is pressed by the pen 103, and the sampling rate is set for each area by a sampling rate setting part 106. Thus, the coordinate data at the optimum sampling rate can be provided.</p> |
