摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a map editor/display in which the map data can be updated and added/erased by user, as required, while solving the problem that the road network becomes discontinuous to a new map at the time of updating a unit area of map and sustaining a complete road network. SOLUTION: A processor 3 acquires updating information designated on an input unit 2 through a receiving unit 1 and reads out the map information related to an updating area from a memory 4 thus updating the map information by performing corrective operation for sustaining the road network. Updated map information is recorded on the memory 4 and displayed on an output unit 5 thus updating a unit area of map while sustaining the road network.
