PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make sensitivity and picture quality compatible. SOLUTION: A combination of a sensitizing paper for radiation and a silver halide photographic sensitive material is used for photographing. The sensitizing paper has plural phosphor layers and a protective layer on a substrate, and each phosphor layer satisfies the relation of 0<σ/R<=0.5, wherein R is the average particle size andσis the standard deviation in the distribution of the particle size of phosphor particles in the layer. The photographic sensitive material has silver halide emulsion layers on both surfaces and <=15% crossover with the light emitted from the sensitizing paper. When the sensitizing paper for radiation is disposed on both surfaces of the silver halide photographic sensitive material and exposed to radiation, the obtd. contrast G is within 1.5 to 2.2.
