PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turntable in which a rattle due to be its rotation is suppressed and in which the holding force of a disk is increased by a method wherein a shock-absorbing material for optical-disk mounting is pasted on the peripheral part on the surface of the turntable and a plurality of through grooves which are passed through obliquely are formed in the thickness direction. SOLUTION: In a turntableγ, an endless ring-shaped shock-absorbing material 5 on which an optical disk D is mounted is pasted on the peripheral part of the surfaceγ1, and the upper end of a driving shaft 1b at a spindle motor 1 is coupled to the center of the rear surfaceγ2. In addition, three through groovesγ3 which are passed through obliquely are formed in the direction of rotation. When the spindle motor 1 is turned, the turntableγis turned, an air current is generated inside the through groovesγ3, an upward lift is generated at the turntableγ, the driving shaft 1b is lifted upward, a pressure force is generated at a bearing, and the generation of a rattle due to a rotation is suppressed. At the same time, a pressure between the turntable and the optical disk D is lowered, a mutual suction force is increased, and the holding force of the disk is increased.
