PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the wait time by effectively utilizing a storage area of an image memory. SOLUTION: A band image is divided into plural blocks and a bit map memory 8 is made up of plural memory blocks 11 each capacity corresponding to each block and only image information of a block where the image information to be expanded is in existence is sequentially expanded in the memory block 11 not in use. Thus, no expansion of the memory is conducted as to null blocks and the memory block 11 for the share is used for succeeding band image expansion processing. |
