PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source for an infrared analyzer with little zero drift, in which filament does not need aging, by sealing a filament, which is vacuum-dried together with a vessel under a specified condition, in the vessel together with inactive gas, without contacting to air. SOLUTION: A filament 3 consisting of heat resistant alloy containing a Cr component is welded between electrode bars 4 and 5. Then, a stem 6 to which the filament 3 is attached is, together with a can 1, vacuum-dried for 12 hours under the reduced pressure about 3×10<-7> Torr (4×10<-5> Pa) and at or above 100 deg.C. After this, inactive gas such as N2 gas, etc., is sealed for press- contacting the can 1 and the stem 6 into a body. The assembled light source removes oxygen adhering to the inter surface of can 1, the filament 3, the electrode bars 4 and 5, and the stem 6, etc., by vacuum drying. So that, when power is supplied to the filament 3 after sealing, no alumina layer is formed on its surface, and fluctuation is not caused in wave number showing peak of an emission spectrum, so that, zero drift is not caused, and stable analyzing and measuring with high reliability are enabled.
|
