PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modular in which no short circuit is generated by dewing in a housing, no wire breaking is generated by a corrosion, and thereby, no talking interruption is generated in the service. SOLUTION: In a telephone modular jack which furnishes a housing 1 having a plug insertion hole 2 to insert a modular plug at the front surface; and a jack 3 in the housing 1 to engage with the modular plug; and when a decolation plate is installed to the housing, a projection 1b projecting from the decolation plate to the inner side of the room is provided, and air holes 5 are provided on both sides of the side surfaces of the projection 1b. The each air hole 5 has a through hole 5a provided to the housing 1, and a slit plate 5b to detour the air from the through hole and to make flow in to the inside of the housing 1.
