PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interactive TV system that a user can identify by using a remote control device for transmitting data capable of specifying the user and a terminal equipment which decodes the transmitted code and recognizes the registered user. SOLUTION: In a remote control device 301, MPU processes operation data from the user by a key input, an infrared-ray is emitted and encoding information is transmitted from a light emitting part. In a reception terminal equipment 306 providing an information display part 319 which displays the image and information of a program, a central processing part 312 judges whether the code is correct or not through the use of the code breaking key of a non-volatile information storage part 308 from the code contents. At the time of incorrect, a service request to a network interface part 321 is executed as a general input key. Thus, user judgement service is executed only by the operation of the remote control device.
