The inlay comprises regions of varying hardness or rigidity continuing into one another, and formed by warp or weft threads of varying hardness and rigidity, or varying thickness, or varying compsn. Pref. the inlay consists of two sections of which the softer ends overlap at the centre of the collar, while the corners of teh collar are formed by the regions of greater rigidity. The front edges of the inlay sections pref. extend parallel to the warp or weft threads of the fabric. Regions of greater rigidity are thus formed without the need for additional treatment or reinforcement with additional material.
|
