PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the starting torque characteristics by providing a start compensator for compensating the starting from zero speed, and to enhance the transient characteristics incident to mode transition by making a transition smoothly from a starting mode employing the start compensator to a starting mode not employing the start compensator. SOLUTION: A primary angular frequency ω1*13 for start compensation comprising an arbitrary time function is set and employed, along with a time function (1-f(t)), for generating a primary angular frequency ω1 which is then integrated and delivered to coordinate converters 8, 10. Consequently, a positive slip angular frequency is obtained and smooth starting compensation is realized using positive torque. Furthermore, since a simulator 14 determines transition of mode based on a torque Torq* and sets a gain f(t), transition can be made smoothly from starting mode to normal mode. |
