<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the dissolution of fuel, and to prevent the excessive generation of foam with the appropriate heating property of the dissolution by operating the dissolution with the dissolution medium, which includes tetramethylammonium hydroxide(TMAOH). SOLUTION: Since TMAOH is a tertiary amine having the strong basicity, it is easily carbonized. This TMAOH solution easily dissolves aluminium of the nuclear fuel, which is mainly composed of aluminium, and aluminium of a target so as to prevent the generation of neutral effluent, which includes sodium. Furthermore, since the nuclear fuel and the target is dissolved by the TMAOH solution and a sufficiently high speed, problem on the performance is not generated. Furthermore, since the dissolution reaction is appropriately exothermic, attention to the diffusion of heat is unnecessary, and excessive generation of foam can be prevented. TMANO3 salt to be obtained by the reaction between TMAOT and HN3 and the drying and evaporation thereafter is the combustible salt, and it is easily decomposed by heating at about 200 deg.C for elimination, and the non-combustible product as the waste is not produced.</p> |
