PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically execute the drawing, cutting and recovering of TIP in a travelling in-core monitor (TIP) driving device by providing a driving part and a cutting part in the driving device. SOLUTION: A TIP driving device 15 with a cutter is so constructed that a driving unit 16 drives a TIP detector cable 8 by the operation of a motor 10, and a cable reel 11 takes up the cable so that the a detector at the tip of the cable is moved in a reactor core. The motor 10 is stopped and the fixed cable 8 is parted to the detector side and the reel side 11 by a cutting part 18. The driving unit 17 drives the cable 8 in the direction of feeding from the reel 11 to be cut 20 to a constant length. The cut cable 8a is recovered from a recovery port 27 into a vinyl bag 14 through a shooter 26. The detector side dable 8 is similarly cut are recovered by the drive of the unit 16. As the vicinity of the tip of the cable 8 and the detector are equivalent to high dose, it is recovered in a lead TIP cask. Thus, it is possible to execute drawing of TIP and cutting and recovering of the cable 8.
