3-Thiocarbamoyl-5-anilino-pyrazole derivatives of formula (I) are new. Ar = optionally substituted phenyl; R1 = H or (all optionally substituted) alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, aryl, aralkyl or heteroaryl; R3 = H, halogen, CN, NO2, COOR5, CONR6R7 or S(O)nR8; R4 = H; alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, aralkyl, aryloxy or aralkoxy (all optionally substituted); or SO2NR6R7, SO2R9, COR10, CH2N(R9)COOR5 or CH2N(R9)SO2R5; R5 = alkyl; R6, R7 = H or alkyl, or together form a ring (optionally containing one or more further heteroatom(s)); R8 = alkyl or haloalkyl; R9 = alkyl, alkoxy or (both optionally substituted) aryl or aryloxy; and n = 0-2.
