A recording and/or reproducing device for disk which has a disk exchanging function so that the device can record and/or reproduce information signals on/from a plurality of disks held by a disk holding body while the disks are exchanged with each other. The device is provided with the disk holding body which holds the disks stacked with prescribed gaps therebetween, a biasing member which biases each disk so that the disk is ejected from the disk holding body, a recording/reproducing section which records and/or reproduces information signals on and/or from each optical disk ejected from the disk holding section, and a transferring mechanism which takes out a prescribed disk from the disk holding body and transfers the disk to the recording/reproducing section. The transferring mechanism pushes only the prescribed disk in the direction in which the disk is ejected from the disk holding body by moving inward at least one disk held by the disk holding body and adjacent to the prescribed disk against the biasing force of the biasing member and transfers the ejected disk.
