Sedation instrument for treatment of nervous disorders

The instrument induces a relaxed state by applying square wave electric pulses at different repetition rates, e.g. 3, 25 or 100 Hz. The pulses are applied via electrodes attached to the eye lids or sockets and the jaw bones. The pulse voltage is adjusted according to the skin resistance of the subject to a comfortable level up to 38 volts. The treatment duration is selected using a timer, e.g. 15 to 30 minutes, with automatic switch off. The electrodes are shaped to fit the head contour anatomically.
