<p>The pad (1) has an upper layer (3) of fluid absorbent material and a backing layer (2) of fluid impervious material. An adhesive strip (4) protected by a release liner (5) extends along one edge of the backing layer. In use, the release liner is removed and the pad is attached, by the adhesive, to the upper surface of a surgical drape in any desired location when increased fluid absorptive capacity is required during a surgical procedure. The pad can be removed or repositioned on the drape when desired.</p> |
