Temp. regulator for building - has comparator and adder to take into account preset and indoor and outdoor conditions

The temp regulator for buildings is intended to reduce heating costs and has a comparator (Cc) to compare the wanted set temp. (resistor Rc) with the temp. (Ei)inside the building. An output circuit (IS) receives the output from the comparator (produced when inside temp is less than set temp) and a signal representing the temp (Ee) outside the building. This circuit produces an output under either of two conditions when the comparator produces an output and when the outside temp is less than a given level. An adder (S) adds the set temp. to a fraction (Rp) of the outside temp. and passes the sum to the comparator as its set temp input.
