The covering device is intended particularly for the corners of two surfaces meeting at right angles, and is used in combination with a paint roller. It consists of a flat thin plate (1) of elongated shape. At least one of its longitudinal sides has a straight-line edge (1/3). The plate is made of a stable shape but flexible material such as polypropylene. It has a narrowing cross section on its straight-line edge. The width of the plate exceeds that of the roller (13) being used. The length of the plate is at least twice its width.
