Process and device for three dimensional video image evaluation

The method involves directing two video cameras (2) at the object (1) under investigation so that their optical axes intersect at the rear of the object. The resulting virtual three-dimensional image (6) is formed in front of the image screen or television device (5). The image is pref. viewed using a three-dimensionally adjustable, approximately point light source (11) such as provided via a light guide. Image details are sampled in their spatial extent or image points are followed in motion as required. Normalisation is achieved by first evaluating the light source position as image points with known separation move along.
