The cord reel control reduces noise generation occurring when drawing the power cord out of the main housing. The control includes a push lever(115) for up and down actuation, a cord reel button(110) urged upward by a spring and pivotally hinged on the main body, a cord reel lever(120) moving a roller stopper(130) back and forth in between the friction wall and the cord reel, a return spring(135) urging the reel lever(120) toward the reel button(110). The cord reel lever(120) has a bend portion of steps between a flange(126) and a guide(127). The roller stopper(130) mounted on the lever(120) has a hinge pin(130a) which moves down in a slanted slot(121) to separate the lever(130) from the friction wall(126) not to make any friction noise.
