<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lower the height of the whole of a sensor by integrally and coaxially attaching a vertical movement detection member with a slit disc by a common shaft having smaller diameter than the slit disc. SOLUTION: When a paper sheet passes through between respective paper guides 2, 2, a slit disc 3 is raised to a broken line position by pushed by the paper sheet. The slit disc 3 is integrated with a vertical movement disc 7 via a shaft 6 so that the vertical movement disc 7 is also raised to the broken line position by guided by a long hole 9 of a frame member 10 along with the raising of the slit disc 3. Raising of the vertical movement disc 7 is detected by a paper sheet presence/absence detection sensor 8. The slit disc 3 is rotated by contacted with the paper sheet passing therethrough so that the carrying speed of the paper sheet is detected by a paper sheet speed detection sensor 5 which measures the frequency of passing through a slit 4 formed in the slid disc 3. The vertical movement disc 7 is smaller than the slit disc 3 in this case so that this device is lower than the conventional paper detection sensor, which has such a height as adding the diameter of the slit disc 3 to the height of the paper sheet presence/absence detection sensor 8, by the difference between the both discs.</p> |
