Connector permitting the junction of one co-axial cable end with another, providing a sealed joint capable of withstanding a submarine environment whilst maintaining electrical matching requirements. The connector is capable of working in the kilo-volts range. Connection is made via a cylindrical cross-sectional block having a centre conductor (2) keyed (12) within its insulation (4) and the outer metal casing (3) serving as the screen conductor. The cable centre conductors (9) are brought in to that of the connector and soldered or secured by a threaded section. The cable screen (6) is corrugated and is held within the connector by a threaded bush compressing the screen against the connector outer conductor.
