PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to prevent the stagnation of body fluid by specifying the angle formed between the conical periphery flank at the longitudinal section passing the central axis of a conical filter member mounted in the aperture at the bottom end of a drip chamber and the central axial line of this drip chamber to a specific value. SOLUTION: The drip chamber 1a for medical treatment is formed of a drip chamber body 2, a filter 3, a filter mounting member 4, a liquid introducing path forming member and a liquid leading-out path forming member 5. The filter 3 has a conical shape and is mounted by fixing its bottom end onto the pedestal part of a mounting ring 6. The angleθformed between the conical periphery flank at the longitudinal section passing the central axis of the filter 3 and the central axial line of the drip chamber 1a is specified to 2 to 10 deg.. Further, this angle is preferably set at 3 to 8 deg.. The flow of the blood in the drip chamber 1a is improved. The blood stagnation in the drip chamber 1a is thus prevented.
