PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the trouble of occurring recording medium jam and the like upon transferring process and permit the repetition of recording and elimination stably by a method wherein a reversible heat sensitive recording medium is provided with a non-heating area and elimination is repeated. SOLUTION: A transfer roller 3 is rotated by the driving of a transfer motor and transfers a set reversible heat sensitive recording medium 1 along a thermal head 5, a head 6 for elimination and a magnetic head 7. When the reversible heat sensitive recording medium 1 is transferred and the tip end of the reversible heat sensitive recording medium 1 is detected by a conversion detecting sensor 14, a transfer control unit rotates a transfer motor reversely with a predetermined given timing to reverse the rotation of the transfer roller 3 and transfer the reversible heat sensitive recording medium 1 to the side of a recording medium inserting port 6 and move the reversible heat sensitive recording medium 1 reciprocally. Upon moving the reversible heat sensitive recording medium 1 reciprocally, a visible image, recorded on the reversible heat sensitive recording medium 1, is eliminated and a new information is recorded as the visible image. |
