PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constantly stabilize applying of pressure to a top seal of a container for liquid, and to shorten time required for adjustment. SOLUTION: A stopper 16 is provided at a part other than a seal jaw 15 on each of the surfaces of a pair of pressure blocks 14, and the pressure blocks 14 approaching from both sides in circular arc or linear motion to ribs to be butt sealed are stopped with the stoppers 16, and thereby a specified clearance can be kept constantly between the opposite seal jaws 15.
