<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow the leading end of a pliable recording sheet to uniformly abut against the nip part of a roller by providing a means for forming a flex in the recording sheet on advance, and a means for detecting thus formed flex, upstream of the nip part. SOLUTION: A recording medium 1 laid on a lower guide 12, and is manually pushed toward a nip part 4 by a hand. The leading end of the recording medium is moved upward along a flex forming panel 10, and then downward. Then, the recording medium slides on the lower guide 12 before it abuts against a sensor 7 for detecting the leading end of the recording medium. Further, when the recording medium 1 is advanced, the recording medium flexes upward so as to make contact with a flex sensor 6 which is therefore turned on. Thus both sensors detect the recording medium so as to determine that a predetermined flex is formed, and accordingly, a flex forming panel 10 is rotated overcoming a spring 14. Thus, transfer rollers 2, 3 start the transfer of the recording medium.</p> |
