摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a transmission switching mechanism for a recorder in which a driving force transmission gear and a negative pressure gear can be held in a meshed state within a predetermined region even if a carriage is shifted to the printing region side after both gears are meshed. SOLUTION: A first kick part 50a is provided at a starting point in capping region and a second kick part 50b is provided in a printing region while projecting to the moving range of a carriage 3. When the first kick part 50a is kicked by a rib 55 provided on the carriage, the meshing gear 41c of a driving force distribution gear 41 meshes a purge gear 48 and when the second kick part 50b is kicked, both gears are unmeshed. This structure prevents both gears from unmeshing even when the carriage is shifted to the printing region side between both kicking parts.
