PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating resin composition composed of a copolymer produced by the graft-copolymerization of a specific monomer to a chlorinated ethylene-α-olefin copolymer, giving a coating film having excellent luster and appearance, having high adhesivity to a polyolefin and a top-coating material, exhibiting a transparent uniform solution state and enabling the finish coating by one-coat process. SOLUTION: (A) A chlorinated ethylene-α-olefin copolymer is graft- copolymerized with (B) a monomer containing an ethylenic unsaturated bond and (C) a monomer containing an ethylenic unsaturated bond and at least one hydroxyl group in one molecule. The component A is preferably produced by the chlorination of an ethylene-α-olefin copolymer having an ethylene content of 30-70mol% and a number-average molecular weight of 500-10,000 and exhibiting liquid state at normal temperature, has a chlorine content of 5-50wt.% and is especially graft-copolymerized with 1-10wt.% of anα,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid or its anhydride.
