<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the workability by impregnating a basic fabric material with an ink having melting point within a specified range thereby preventing a finger from being smeared with ink even upon touching a ribbon at the time of replacing the ribbon. SOLUTION: An ink having melting point in the range of 30-50 deg.C, in particular containing 20-60wt.% of solid surfactant under normal temperature as vehicle, is employed in the fabric ink ribbon for impact dot printer. When the melting point of an ink is lower than 30 deg.C, the ink takes liquid state easily and the hand is smeared upon touching the ink. When the melting point of the ink is higher than 50 deg.C, print performance of the ink ribbon and feeding performance of the ink to the print area of the ribbon are damaged. Since the ink takes a solid state under normal temperature, the hand is scarcely smeared with the ink upon touching the ink ribbon at the time of replacement thus enhancing the workability.</p> |
